Close to the end!

So, I've been lost in writing the last few days, to the point I know that this blog post is late. Apologies for that, but I hope you'll understand ๐Ÿ˜˜

I'm VERY close to the end of The Night's Craft, as in within the final few chapters, and have mapped out the climax of the novel, finally. It has been a long road for a novel I intended to release last year, but unfortunately one novel got the best of me.. the novel Coronavirus. I didn't catch it, touch wood, but I have spent the entire year in my home without so much as a trip to the shop, so my creativity took a dive. I expect the same is true for many authors right now.

Nevertheless, I picked up where I left off and I can say that this novel has gone from its original planned beginning and end to bringing in new characters I certainly didn't expect, darker twists which I have had to be careful about how I write about, and much more. I will mention that this is a novel about a character who actively goes out of her way to be a bad person on several occasions, and mature themes are noted throughout (though still within the confines of the YA genre).

As much as Morwenna tries to fulfil the role of being 'evil', she is often lured into more benign life choices because few, if any, people can live that way. The people we view as the worst villains are really just individuals who were led astray, and she is no different. TNC is really the story of how she goes from being a hurt child into a mass murderer, convinced she's doing the right thing.

It's a rollercoaster, I will say that much.

Are you ready for this? Because it's coming soon. Expect an announcement by the end of the month ๐Ÿคซ

I believe in living with total transparency. I am open, unguarded. Part of this reality for me is a curse word worse than the f-word, my own little f-bomb: fibromyalgia. There are a lot of doctors out
